Ancient Celtic Stone Heads

These stone heads and edifices date back thousands of years into pre-history, long before the Roman invasions and the introduction of Christianity.

They are part of an ancient tradition with ethno-religious symbolism pertaining to the indigenous Briganatian people who dwelt in the North of England up until and after the time of the Roman colonisation and subjugation of the North around 80 CE.
